The initial smartphones, such as the IBM Simon (1994), integrated a cellular phone with minimal computing capabilities. However, it wasn’t until Apple introduced the iPhone in 2007 that the smartphone revolution came into its own. Apple’s minimalist touchscreen aesthetic and app platform reimagined the idea.
